In 2012, while in prison, I was going through my memories, and a moment with my cousin was clear as if I was in the room watching us, back in 2004. Nevada Blate had passed later the same year, that memory sparked an idea. We were discussing fashion—my passion—when he mentioned he’d name a clothing line “Balante.” That got me thinking about my own name, leading to the phrase “Be Famous.” But to me, fame wasn’t about celebrity status; it was about self-worth and confidence.
